My Thoughts

The hypocrisy of some people—more noticeably, politicians, bureaucrats, and their media shills—should be cause for embarrassment, but it is not; like cringeworthy sunburn embarrassing or a mortifying case of heat rash, but it is not. Their overweening hubris denies any dis-ease or discomfiture over their sanctimonious dissembling for they are fully protected, having slathered themselves with a copious plaster of SPF-100 (Shame Protection Factor 100%.)

My Thoughts

Have you ever tried to have a serious conversation with a know nothing true believer? You know, those who know what they know without knowing whether what they know to be true is even a distant relative to reality, or worst case, not knowing what they do not know but believing it, nevertheless. For the ones who so ardently believe they know the truth, no disprove is possible even though they have no proof to dislodge what they believe they know from the rocks in their heads.  The odds of changing such minds are as likely as asking a mountain to move a bit to the right so you can have a better view of a sunset.

Received a link to a video from a friend the other day, a real head-shaker, illustrative of the narcissistic madness infecting much of the country. This was one of Judge Judy’s many amazing cases from 1989 (youtube.com/watch?v=o2WH1bFLJmE). The plaintiff was a young black woman and the defendant was a young 16-year old black man who had knocked the plaintiff to the ground, grabbed her car keys, then drove off in her car. He was subsequently caught, indicted and convicted of the charges against him and placed on five years’ probation. The plaintiff was seeking compensation for damages caused by the defendant crashing her car while attempting to escape the police.

My Thoughts

Why is it so many unhappy folks seem to be on a quest to make everyone as unhappy as they are? It feels as though happiness is something one must no longer pursue; be unhappy as I am unhappy, or else, I will find something to make you unhappy. How dare you be happy when so many are so miserably miserable!

My Thoughts

Have you ever noticed whenever you are firmly convinced you are right you are suddenly, inexplicitly on the right side of wrong or is it the left side of right? It is easy to get confused these days. After all, 63% of those who woke up this morning are convinced they are dreaming, 32% say they never woke up, and more than half say they are woke but not living the dream they deserve since they are woke.

My Thoughts

Are you as tired as I am? I am tired of being branded racist by racists; weary of being called deplorable by deplorables; exhausted from having to tippy-toe around hypersensitive, self-indulgent, radicalized morons who accuse you of hate speech while they “peacefully” burn your house or business down in protest; drained by all the fearmongering over the dire consequences of coronavirus pushed by public health “experts” shouting, “The Sky is Falling! The Sky is Falling!” all the while knowing they are lying through their pearly whites; utterly fatigued by all the ingrates, ignoramuses and imbeciles who hate this country yet refuse to leave for a “better” place (because there are none and they know it); beat by the lawless mob shouting “defund the police!” and dog-tired of the smug politicians, sitting behind their gated mansion walls protected by private security—paid by our tax dollars—doing nothing to quell the anarchy and chaos.

Enough is enough. I have had it with the mob, the media, the mayhem and the madness. I have had it with the utter failure or—according to Heather Mac Donald—outright malfeasance of public officials in their “overreaction to the novel coronavirus” which has “put American cities into a coma; those same officials’ passivity in the face of widespread rioting threatens to deliver the coup de grâce.”

Woke up this morning, looked outside to a beautiful day, blue sky, gentle morning breeze, sun peeking over the mountains, quail warbling along the fence line. Yep, just another beautiful day in a beautiful world. Thanks be to God.

Last week I watched a video. Not that unusual, I watch a lot of videos these days. This one was different.

I receive a ton of email … every day; because of spam filters, thank goodness, I only see a small portion of what comes addressed to my various email accounts but what gets through is highly annoying and time consuming. Most of it is junk which is abnormally normal for those of us tethered to our computers; no one enjoys delete, delete, delete, delete, … read, save, delete, delete, …
